Talk to Gynecologist on Antibiotic In Pregnancy
Asking for Self, Female, 28 years old, Karachi pakistan
I have 2 enlarged lymph node in left armpit found in ultrasound general surgeon prescribed augmentin 1gm for 10 days twice a day i am 8 months pregnant ... is it safe in pregnancy and will augmentin dissolve these lymph nodes
yes .it is safe in pregnancy. it will settle the infection... lymph nodes can take 2-3 month to reduce to there original size

some studies hv shown tht its use in pregnancy causes necrotizing enterocolitis in new borns-so i dont recommend augmentin use in either part of pregnancy...u shud take second opinion

Ok aik general surgeon ny kaha k she is not confirm k is sy dissolve hogi bhi ya nhe ... I am very confused qk mai is node sy bht ziada upset the but jb diagnose hoa k ye lymph node enlarged hai aur phr Dr ny augmentin 1gm do aur 1 month bad ultrasound repeat krny ko kaha hai
