Talk to Gynecologist on Antidepressants

my gastro prescribed me escitalopram 5 mg for 2 weeks as I have ibs issue and it wasn't resolving so he prescribed escitalopram 10 mg again now it's Ben 10 days I'm on it so totally I'm taking the medication from past 25 days almost.i issue is I have skipped periods my due was 19 July and it's 28th today.. what should I do in this regard. can't get pregnant as I'm ligated with last one 3 years ago

even then do ur UPT/Serum it comes out to b negative then attend to ur attending OBG...

dear even after ligation,there are chances of conception so plz first rule out pregnancy.. and if its negative then u can use medicine for withdrawal bleed.. and if its positive then plz dont take escitalopram or any other antidepressant.

U should get ur serum BHCG and ultrasound pelvis done and consult a OBGYN consultant

Thanks there is less chance you are pregnant as tubes are blocked the delay in periods may be due to drugs

Thanks for response you can take primolut n 5 mg twice a day for five days nd wait for one week to have periods if no periods then do bhcg for pregnancy
