Asking for Self, Female, 21 years old, Lahore
Hello Doctor, I am a 21-year, and I would like to explain my symptoms in detail. The first time I had vaginal intercourse, I experienced bleeding, which I understand can be normal. The second time, I had intercourse again but there was no bleeding. About a month later, I had intercourse again. During penetration, I experienced vaginal bleeding along with pain. The bleeding only occurred during penetration, and afterward I had light spotting on my underwear for a few hours before it stopped. After that encounter, my partner developed a burning sensation during urination. He visited a doctor, explained the situation, and was prescribed medication, which improved his symptoms. The next time we had intercourse, I again experienced bleeding, but this time it occurred only during penetration. I did not have pain, and there was no spotting afterward. However, my partner developed the same burning sensation during urination again. He took the same medication as before, but it did not help this time. Later, I inserted my fingers into my vagina, and I again noticed bleeding that occurred only while my fingers were inside. The bleeding stopped immediately after I removed them. I should also mention that I have taken an emergency contraceptive pill (ECP) after every episode of intercourse. Before the third time I had intercourse, I also took Just-N tablets to delay my menstrual period. Could you please advise what might be causing the bleeding during penetration and whether my partner’s recurrent urinary symptoms could be related? What examinations or tests would you recommend for both of us?
Hello, first u should rule out pregnacy by doing test. Then u can have vaginal infection which can lead to irregular bleeding and also EC and other hormonal tablets can also cause irregular bleesing. As you have pain also while penetration and ur hisband has also signs of urinary infection so u both should go for urine test to rule out infection plus u should have a checkup from down below to see the infection. Ur husband should also visit doctor for his evaluation as recurrent infections need long treatment.
The bleeding during penetration is most likely caused by cervicitis, cervical ectropion (erosion), a cervical polyp, or vaginal/cervical trauma. Speculum examination.Cervical/high vaginal swabs.STI screening for both partners (especially Chlamydia and Gonorrhea).Urine R/E and culture if urinary symptoms persist.Pelvic ultrasound if the examination is normal and bleeding continues. and stop taking ECP regularly
