AoA my wife is pregnant and it’s mid of 4th month is ongoing. It’s first pregnancy after 2 years of first miscarriage. She’s hypothyroid patient. A week ago and from last few days bleeding from nose is coming sometimes less sometimes more. Why this happening and what medicine should She use at this stage of pregnancy. Gynaecologist and Endocrinologist prescribed medicines are already in use.

hope shes nt on any blood thinning medicine...but do her coagulation profile along wth fresh CP and visit ur attending gynaecologist...c wt she advises...sum v small ratio of pregnant women experience this around four months and beyond...they sumtimes cant breath thru their nose...thts all becoz of expanded network of tiny blood vessels in the nose tht swells up under pregnancy hormones due to incresed blood volume...so c its most of the time benign...but workup is essential as there r two lives to take care of...so do c ur doctor wth these two blood tests...

Taking Loprin once daily. Bleeding frequency is high during pregnancy than before. Bleeding is only on left side of nose

yeah as told...it happens but do the investigations and inform ur care taker...loprin is advised in safe doses in pregnancy in case of any pre existing risk factor etc...

CBC done last month platelets level was normal (224) only MPV (11.3) was little bit high
