Talk to Gynecologist on Bleeding- Medicine- Breastfeeding

My postpartum bleeding wasn't stopping periods kept on coming after every 6,7 days so dr gave primolut n for 3 months to fix up the cycles, I want ask if this medicine has any side effects on breastfeeding or the baby as ive read that it shouldn't be taken while bf as it can pass down the hormones in the baby, my dr said it's not harmful and won’t have any effect pn the milk or the baby but i still wanted to have a second opinion.
