persistent and severe cough can produce blood in sputum...but my suggestion is to c a chest specialist rather than seeking OBG advice...do tell him about ur pregnancy so tht u r prescribed suitable medicines...

cough nasal congestion can cause blood mixed sputum, blood report is reassuring. If symptoms persist for week or so, consult physician. tc
