Talk to Gynecologist on Cervical Stitch
Asking for Self, Female, 30 years old, Lahore
I had a miscarraige last year at 22 weeks of pragnancy as labor pains started sudden. Now I am again 6 weeks pregnant. My dr suggest me cervical stitch at 12-14 week. I want to know that i had a anomoly scan at 21 week in last pregnancy and my cervical length was 3.5 and exact after 4 days the scan i had miscarraige. My question is that Is the cervical stitch only solution this time?

If u hav history of spontaneous preterm labour in last pregnancy then I suggest that u follow ur doctor’s advice .. it’s safer that u get it but also ur cervical length has to be followed .. but the stitch should be in no later than 15 wks

An unexplained preterm delivery most likely due to cervical incompetence definitely warrants a cervical cerclage in the next pregnancy .. it’s best to get it done before 15 wks .. so do as ur doctor says
