Talk to Gynecologist on Cervical Stitch Not Removed In C Section

hi my McDonald stitch is still there after c section.. dr told me she will remove the stitch. but I can feel the stitch by touching .. i want to know is it harmful to have cervical stitch after pregnancy is over.. or can keep it for next pregnancy.
U have to get it removed
In next pregnancy it will be applied again if needed
