Asking for Sister, Female, 29 years old, Khi
My sister ,previously had increased Prolactin 29 ug/more and was treated by gynaecologist in 2013, which helped her concieve. Since then she had regular cycles ,since last year she started facing irregular cycles and was re tested ,her new readings showed 10 ug/more Prolactin. Now , she has started having irregular cycles again ,with pain in lower abdomen and severe pain in breasts for one week before periods (feeling of fullness and sensitivity) and hirutism as well. So is this indication of increased Prolactin ? Please note that earlier she didn't had sore breasts during or before periods it happened before when her Prolactin was high so she doubts ,may be, it's high again

- Dear I have read Description .when u had last prolectin level if not done recently better to have now .
- hirsutism with irregular period can be in polycystic ovaries.
- has she recently observed weight gain as this is also one of signs of poly cystic ovary .
- she should have few dietery physical precautions,investigations , treatment accordingly .
- should have balanced diet ,weight and Bmi.To maintain Bmi should have daily walk ,Exercise and yoga .
- have complete treatment of any health issue she has.
-have balanced diet with less salt ,suger ,oil and Spice .take lots of vegetables ,fruits. ,plenty of water .
- breast tenderness could be in Pco as well before periods even in normal lady but she is having hirsutism Do need to Evaluate .
- have transvaginal scan if married and pelvic scan if Unmarried for ovarian Cyst.
- have blood tests on day 2 of periods serum prolectin ,serum progesterone,insulin ,testosterone ,thyroid function test,fsh and Lh
- Collect all reports and discuss here .
- have Diane 35 Cyclically for 21 days in each cycle ,start from day 3 of periods and after 21 tablets stop.Then again start from day 3 of periods ..take for 3 cycles to regulate and have hormonal Support.

She needs to have her harmonal profile done to rule out Pco, if her recent prolactin levels are normal , then no need to worry about prolactin Get an Usg done to rule out Pco, . If her breastst are tender before periods, no need to worry , it is part of premenstrual phase
You need to be evaluated by a gynaecologist as a full hormonal profile and prolactin required because of irregular cycles and hirsutism. Further treatment will be needed according to the reports.

She had her ultrasound done ,there weren't any cysts . Her hormonal.profile done 3 months ago showed all readings normal and she used to have regular 34 day cycle , it's since two months her cycle us getting irregular al.

if all work up done and was normal then have all above Precautions and have Diane 35 for 3 cycles and follow up after 3 months .
