Talk to Gynecologist on Chest Pain And Periods

I had pain in my nipples few days back it was very painful but there was no redness nothing neither there is any lump then after that i got my periods which has stopped i guess two years back but i got my periods this time and the bleeding was heavy too the bleeding stayed for 4 days and then stopped right after the bleeding my nipples pain has also gone and have become much better what can be reason why did this happened can you please guide
