Aoa Doctors. I visited gynaecologist yesterday for preconception consultation. The doctor did ultrasound and said everything seems normal. As my 1st pregnancy (6months ago) resulted in rupture ectopic, therefore i asked for some tests. The doc said if u have no infection it won't be a problem but if u want to be sure do HSG test and then conceive, and prescribed me Cefixime, folic acid and dicloran. Today I went to CMH Kohat, they didn't do the test because it is elective procedure and due to corona they are not doing such tests. The gynaecologist of CMH said that u don't have any issue, try in ur conception days. As this week is my ovulation window, i want to know if i should still take Cefixime or not? (5 days prescription).

Antibiotic is only needed if you have infection.
cefixime is safe in pregnancy so u can continue it. HSG is not necessary. jst do conceive n thn u need early scan to confirm whether pregnancy is intra uterine or not..
Cefixime is safe during pregnancy, your doctor might have prescribed it to be sure there is no infection before you conceive as infections are a big reason for ectopic pregnancy. You shall take all the medicines mentioned and try to conceive. After conception you shall do an early scan to rule out any ectopic pregnancy. - Dear Antibiotics given for infection if U had or to clear from infection.
- Have complete treatment for any health issue u have like blood pressure ,Suger and Al other medical issues .
- have folic acid Regularly .
- normal Bmi ,weight and age .
- have Daily walk,yoga and Exercise .
- use fertile period for Conception.
- avoid unnecessary Medications like dicloran if no Symmptoms .
- I hope things would be better .
