person-avatar

Asking for Wife, Female, 28 years old, Islamabad

We are recently married (4 months now) we both are working professionals, we explored different contraceptive methods but all are risky and came up with Contraceptive Implant Method. How to get this method and which clinic in Islamabad provide such services? Will this be suitable for my wife? thanks!

Aoa
Intrauterine devices r of two types:
1:Mirena:hormone laiden(for 5 years:additional quality of this implant is that it controls abnormal uterine bleeding wch most females complain after insertion)
2:IUCD:WCH has copper:also for 5 years
Both can be removed even before 5 years when ever pregnancy is desired...
But u shud b keeping in mind thr u r implanting a foreign body inside so it ll need sumtimes to settle in ur body.
And effect on your fertility is nill if everything goes normal thru out its implantation period-u can concieve the v next month after its removal.
Remeber anyine can implant them but u shud always b going to trained health professionals.
For more details and councelling u can visit me at ur leisure.

Another thing tht i ll like to add is tht sub dermal implants are also available but they hv more side effects tht can sum times effect client social life...for eg irregularbleeds, ovarian suppression, local area cellulitis etc...every gynaecologist has their own preferences...so i prefer intra uterine devices rather than sub dermal implants...i think i hv given u a lot of info on the basis of wch u can choose wt u actually want...looking forward for ur reply...
