Talk to Gynecologist on Dvt After Csection

I had csection on 6th October 2024, one week after section i was diagnosed with extensive dvt, got 5 intravenus injections in skin after that my doctor started my treatment, i am taking xarelto 20 mg once a day+ lowplate 75mg daily from 23rd October.. I want to ask is dvt curable? Dr suggested these medicine for 3 months, is dvt curable? How to recover from dvt fast? And what are tbe symptoms of internal bleeding if we are taking blood thinners?

it is curable and the treatment is to prevent further complication and can happen in every pregnancy or any surgeries ,So u need to tell all your doctors about it,keep well hydrated and continue your treatment aa per your current doctor advice.

You can continue Xeralto and don't need to take lowplat

repeat a doppler scan of both legs after 3 months

DVT is curable

but a strict observation is mandatory as it can lead to pulmonary embolism, which is a dangerous complication of DVT

i could not see your report but yes of course dvt is curable and you have been cured but you have to continue treatment till completion of three months. to prevent recurrence.for further prevention avoid long sitting hours,keep yourself ctive and drink alot of water. Keep your weight under control. The risk of recurrence is only during pregnancy,prolonged strugery ,dehydration and immobilisation and then only will you require prophylaxis. fortunately the bleeding is from mucous membranes like nose bleed, and gum bleed or skin when your drugs are more than required.But the prescribed amount of drug hardly brings your levels to normal
