Asking For Self, Female, 42 Years old, canada

Endometrial polyp, has slightly impacted menstrual cycle by shortening it to 27/28 days. Heavy bleeding on day 1 of periods then normal. no pain. no other symptoms. Advised by doctor to get the polyp removed and for biopsy. is this recommended course of action?
