Talk to Gynecologist on First Trimester

Asking for Self, Female, 30 years old, Romania

Hello,

I am pregnant and currently in the 10th week and 3 days. My first trimester blood results ( 6 weeks ago) were not indicating any anemia: Hematocrit 35.6% and Hemoglobin 12.2/dl

Unfortunately last weekend I fainted and as a precaution after the event, I took an iron pill 50mg elemental iron (Ferrous Gluconate). Now I'm asking if taking iron can be a problem for the baby as it is in the first trimester.

Should I be worried about it ? I know that a lot of people take iron supplements, but right now I very stressed out about it.

Thank you.

that's ok don't worry about the iron tablet you took. just take folic acid daily in the first trimester. improve your diet.
