Talk to Gynecologist on Follicles Growth

My age is 31 plus ,I just wanted an information regarding follicle growth .is it ok if you don’t have dominent follicle growth in a cycle ? All my hormone tests are fine .no PCOS history or anything . 5,6 months back I did tvs for follicle count on 10th day ,my dominant follicle was 18mm ,I wasn’t trying to conceive back then (June2022 ).but in the second month of trying (december 2022) my dominant follicle was 10mm on 9th and 11th day . I had a slight raised prolactin 33 for which I started brotin , and it’s now les than 6,I am still taking brotin . My main question is that ,is it ok if dominant follicle doesn’t grow in some cycle? And does 33 prolactin does effect ovulation ?
no dear it's really not ok if u r not having any dominant follicle,

u cannot concive ever with a non dominant follicle

If dominant folicle is nt of required size conception is nt possible and prolactin level affects cycle
In a normal ovulation cycle sizeable folicle grows to a specific required size

Mam my prolactin level was 33 now it’s less than 6 I tested 10 days before and abhi bhi tablets le rahi hun brotin .today is my 5th period day . Do u believe this cycle would be normal in terms of ovulation ? Bcz the rest of hormonal tests are normal alhamdulilah

Actually I have heated people saying that it’s ok to have anovulatory cycle sometimes ,bcz I don’t you ovulate every month. One month your follicle is normal the other month it can be slow in growth ,but I wanted to confirm it from doctors ,mam what do you say

No I had one dominant follicle in right ovary of 10mm .but it was same in size on 9th and 11th day

10 mm is not dominant for conception it should be atleast more then 18

Yes that’s why I was asking ? Is it ok to have such cycles sometimes? My Fsh is fine .I had tvs few months back on 10th cycle day my dominant follicle was 18mm .in December month I did pelvic ultrasound and it was 10mm on 9,11day.

18 mm is good
we got follicular scan at day 12 if cycle of 28 days.

Yes.but in last month my dominent follicle didn’t increase much that’s why I couldn’t conceive .so is it ok to have such cycles in between? Is it normal for follicles not to grow once in a while ?

but with less then this u cannot concive without medication, but if it's the only reason u can concive successfully with treatment of some months. even some concive with 1 or 2 months

Sorry mam I didn’t understand your last msg .actually there r some thing errors .I understand what you are saying .I have been trying to conceive from November ,so it’s been 2 months .other drs said it’s nothing to worry about and keep trying bcz all my other hormones are Alhamdulilah fine .but I was curious that why follicle growth was good some months before and how it’s slow now .I couldn’t ask in details from the dr that’s why I am asking you .

dear there are some diseases in which ovarian deserves start declining.and if not treated and concive at time it can even result in worst outcome.with diminished ovarian reserves.

if Ur follicles are not up to mark it's not that. if issue in conception it can be settled with medication but if u kept it delaying it can be issue
