hello dr I am 28 weeks pregnant with gdm. I have following 2 questions: 1) i am prescribed metformin 500mg 1+1+1. i have been using it for month. Will i have to continue it till end. because if i skip it then my sugar gets 175 plus even with 250mg? Is it safe? does this medicine causes early pains? 2) I get occasional itching on my body any over the counter lotion or any home remedy for it? Thanks

Yes you have to continue metformin thrice daily because your sugar levels are controlled on it and beware of episodes of hypoglycaemia.For itching you can apply vaseline over body.For further queries kindly book an online appointment.
