Please help me understand what following hormonal test results suggests: prescribed by my gynae:
TSH: 3.79 Testosterone: 45.47 Prolactin: 25.3 FSH: 9.37 Serum LH: 4.05 Serum Insulin: 12.9 Pcos not diagnosed in ultrasound
I am 28 year female, married for 1.5 years, not trying to conceive at the moment. Periods are regular.
I have been prescribed glucophage 500 mg for next 6 months by gynae. Wanted to know if this has any side effects which I should watch out for? Does it lead to weight gain? Does it affect fertility in future?

Saam. There are many other ways to diagnose pcos beside ultrasound. Continue glucophage for now. Weight loss is needed. With reeat labs and follow up. Start folic acid. Book online appointment for further information
