Talk to Gynecologist on Hematoma Detected During Ultrasound

person-avatar

Asking for Self, Female, 32 years old, Lahore

Hi, I am currently 25 weeks pregnant. I had bleeding during 3rd month that stopped with treatment followed by some incidents of spotting that also stopped. During 22w i got my anomaly scan done and there is a hematoma of size 21 ml, all else is fine. i want to ask how safe is physical activity with this since i was on bed rest from 1.5 months. Also how much time will it take to resolve ideally. Is this size considered small or medium with how much risk. If it goes away there is a chance of it coming back.

You should be careful with the physical activity.

Please get a fresh scan , so that we can see the new size of the collection. It is of medium size as per last scan.
Once it goes, it will not come back.

U have to repeat scan with the 4 weeks gap of previous one aggressive Physical activity should b restricted but not complete bed rest. Observation is the mainstay of treatment
