Talk to Gynecologist on High Dose Of Vitamin D During Third Trimester
Asking For Wife, Female 31, Gujranwala
Aoa respected doctors, My wife's Hb level is 9 (1 month old report) and she had total for drips of merofer (iron) (1 per week). Now doctor has suggested her to take vitamin d (200000 IU) capsule per week for 3 weeks. Please suggest me if is it safe for her and for the baby (third trimester) to have this much high dosage of vitamin d? She also prescribed Intig D tablets to be taken each day. Thanks

can take calcium along with vitamen D.
If she is taking intig D regularly for 3 months then there is no need. Better to check vitamin D level first.

We haven't done vitamin D test yet because it wasn't suggested by our doctor. She just prescribed vitamin D capsule without any test.
