I am reaching out to get guidance on a safe treatment plan for my heavy periods as i have little fibroid and a little PCOS. In the past, I have used tranexamic acid and Ponstan Forte (mefenamic acid) for heavy bleeding and severe period pain without issues. However, during a recent cycle, taking them caused me to experience sudden breathing difficulties. The breathing tightness went away only after I used a nebulizer. Because of this reaction, I have stopped taking both tranexamic acid and Ponstan Forte. Could you please evaluate what might have caused this respiratory reaction and recommend safe alternative options to help lower my heavy bleeding and manage period pain without triggering my breathing?
