Talk to Gynecologist on Hsg Test Details

Doctor recommended me hsg test but she said that it would on periods 5 or 6th day I went dow today for the details but there was no female gynaecologist there to tell me the details of this test a male xray doctor asked my husband about the details of periods day and then he said that u have to come on the 9th day of her periods I dnt have any idea about this test kindly share details and and recommended hosp for this test

Hysterosalpingo graphy is done when patient has no period. Means 8 th 9th day is safe.
In this test a contrast dye is injected in uterus which afyer following the fallopian tubes (two on either side of uterus) comes out in pelvic cavity.
Whole process takes 5 to10 min.
Needs gentle injection of dye.
Mild pain may b felt when dye travels in tubes.
U can have buscopan plus an hour before test. The result will come immediately on xray film or on papaer. This test must b done by a doctor not by technicians.
I m doing hysteosalpingography for 20 years. With no pain and sideeffects. Every month 10 to 15 hystetos r my target.
