Talk to Gynecologist on Impact Of Lignocane On Conceiving
Asking for Wife, Female, 34 years old, Rawalpindi
My wife suffered pain whenever we had intercourse. A gynae advised her to apply lognocane gel 15 minutes prior to reduce pain. It works. However, we want to conceive now. My question is that does lignocane gel have any negative imapcts on ability to conceive? Should we stop using it??
Secondly, any negative impacts if used in the long term to reduce pain??

no lignocaine doesn't have any negative impacts on the ability to conceive. but long term use is not advised. instead use lubricant in the form of Ky jelly.

pain is usually due to inadequate lubrication and friction, in that case yes a water based lubricant is a much better option.
