Asking for Self, Female, 27 years old, Lahore
Aoa. I am 27 years old and have been married for almost 2 years. Suddenly before marriage my periods started to be irregular, as my mother also has same issue, i thought it was normal. Later, after my marriage i did not conceive once and got examined and found that my AMH is 0.01, FSH is 60, and other hormones are all normal. I got tested for TSH, prolactin and everything but they are all normal. After, i got no periods for 3 months right after my marriage, I was taking progyluton and letrozole for consecutive 4 months but during that period my husband had an issue in releasing semen which later on got normal. But I had pain taking that medicine so I changed the doctor. Now my current doctor has diagnosed primary ovarian insufficiency in me which completely shattered me. Sometimes stress can cause irregular periods by disrupting hormonal balance, affecting ovulation, and even interfering with ovarian hormone production. When your body is stressed, it releases hormones like adrenaline and cortisol, which can interfere with the sex hormones that regulate your menstrual cycle, leading to missed, delayed, or even early periods. Managing stress through techniques like exercise, healthy diet, adequate sleep, and mindfulness can help promote a more regular cycle. For detailed guidance book an online appointment with me.
primary ovarian insufficiency can be due to many reasons, for example, infections or if you have taken any medicine etc but Amh levels are v low . Track your Amh and FSH levels after 2,3 months
