Talk to Gynecologist on Itchy Scaly Areola

Asking For Self, Female 22, Rawalpindi

I've breast pain on both the sides also I've scaly and itchy skin on the areola ( both sides). What could possibly be the reason. Could it be due to dryness or hormones as my periods are after two weeks? Is it safe to apply mycitracin?

No, there haven't been any notable changes. It's just the dryness and the itching.

No, I haven't used any medicines for this specifically as i do experience sore breasts before my periods. But in the past few days, I've been on antibiotics for my sinusitis.

AOA. breast pain usually happens before period that's normal but if history is different you need treatment after some investigation. while dryness may be seasonal and might be some other issues. you can try mycitracin but if not recovered you should take an appointment. thankx
