Definitely not and it has its own risks
Good afternoon. I see you are inquiring about Diagnostic laparoscopy. It is an invasive procedure and normally reserved for complicated situations. Normally there are very good, non-invasive and cost-effective Investigations which are offered to patient systematically. However if you are inquiring about it I presume you were advised for it. It is an invasive procedure which involves making a hole in your belly and using a very thin camera and some other instruments to explore internal organs. When done by experienced surgeons it does not have many complications but it does come with its own standard challenges. By those I mean admission to hospital, you might be given General Anesthisia which means you will have to stay couple of days in hospital. You might feel bit drowsy during your stay after procedure. Slight pain on your tummy after discharge. You will feel bit of sore throat as doctors have to put a tube for your breathing while you are in sedative effect of anaesthesia. However in some cases it is useful but ultimate decision is make by patient and treating doctor by carefully balancing advantages and disadvantages. Regards hope this helps.
