Asking for Self, Female, 23 years old, Islamabad, Pakistan
Hey, I just want to ask — my gynae did an ultrasound and diagnosed PCOS, even though I have regular periods and no prominent symptoms. She prescribed Letrozole 2.5mg three times a day for 5 days. Now I can't contact her, and I'm feeling confused. What if she made a mistake? I’ve heard Letrozole is usually taken only once a day, and the dose she recommended is 2.5mg.
its not mandatory that u r suffering with some symptoms. At times PCOS is diagnosed on ultrasound.
n as she has diagnosed it , that's why given u letrazole for increasing size of ur eggs. the dose starts from once a day to thrice a day according to size of follicles in ur ovary n its strength is 2.5mg.
If you need online consultation for this, you can consult me online
Assalam o Alaikum
Having polycystic ovaries doesn't mean one has syndrome too. You don't seem to have it. This is not correct regimen of Letrozole and it's never given without basic tests.
Do not take any treatment without proper indication. Book consultation for details.
