Asking for Other, Female, 27 years old, Karachi
At 33 weeks with very low amniotic fluid, dr has advised me haemaccel infusion along with ctg and 02 intermittent (twice this week) and then ill go for a scan again. My question is where exactly is the drip infused, my dr said it takes 4-5 hours and full administration also? Is it on the stomach? Or is it some other kind of procedure?
Haemaccel infusion is given in the vein through a cannula as any other drip. The ctg is important to look that the baby is doing fine and you should also give attention to baby movements. Any time if you feel it is decreased you should immediately go to see your doctor. Ctg is a simple procedure in which the heart rate of the baby is checked.
