Asking For Wife, Female 30, karachi
so I bought a pulse oximeter as a precautionary measure at home
I checked it on my wife who is pregnant and presently on 28th week and she was having levels varying from 82-88 % which was very worrying for me
- she has no symptoms of Corona or any fever or cough - checked at rest, sitting and standing position with internal of 5 mins each - she climbed two floors to reach out flat and was feeling tired and gas in stomach
this condition has been felt various times during last few weeks, in the morning I'll also post current status I can't rush to gynae as I'm having a small son and don't want both of them to be espoused to hospital conditions
what are the complaints of your wife. is she having severe shortness of breath and for how long. if settled on its own then no worries
If there is no previous breathing issue and no family history of asthma or low Hb then please check your technique. Also in third trimester the pregnant uterus pushes on lungs which can result in shortness of breath. If she is feeling normal then no need to worry. However if shortness of breath is increased then you need her to get checked. Please ask her to do deep breathing exercises few times daily and then check saturation.

yes it felt like pushing the lungs as the posture and increase in ventilation of the room suddenly changed the value above 90 percent, so it's occasionally that shortness is felt
