Asking for Self, Female, 30 years old, USA
I recently got my blood work done and it shows that I have lower AMH level, is there anyway I can do to increase my AMH level. And also doesnit effect my pregnancy, (never conceived)
hello there,
Anti-Müllerian Hormone, or 'AMH' as it is often called, is a hormone which is given off by developing follicles, which are egg sacs containing immature eggs. By measuring this with a blood test, it gives an idea of the state of ovarian reserve and how many eggs are left in the ovaries.
Low AMH results generally coincide with high FSH results, and both of these together are an indicator of low ovarian reserve. FSH stands for 'follicle stimulating hormone', and is a hormone released by the brain which stimulates the growth and development of follicles within the ovaries.
Normal AMH levels (1.5 to 4.0 ng/ml) are associated with increased fertility and better response rates to fertility treatments. Low–Normal AMH levels (1.0 to 1.5 ng/ml) are associated with decreased ovarian reserve but chances can still be good for pregnancy outcomes.
you need to follow your gynea doctor advice here , as its a very delicate issue and you need monitoring and advice with follow up in order to control these levels and establish them.
there is no medication that can be advised her to take and increase the levels.
