Talk to Gynecologist on Medicines Caution For Pregnancy

Asking For Self, Female 29, Islamabad

Planningning to conceive but already on migraine medicines like prothadione, plasil enzyme, neoprox,zolmitriptan etc from last 2 months. already a mom of 1.5 years son. Is it safe to conceive using these medicines? or should I stop before attempting ? pls guide .

Consult ur neurologist as these medicines are not safe n abruptly stopping them can also worsen ur migrain . They may change or slowly reduce the dose . For now Start folic acid

yes ..I just use prothadione 25mg daily & plasenzyme daily morning. rest of medcns are for pain attack & occasional use.

u need both go ahead signals from ur medical specialist and gynaecologist...First one ll change your medicines indicated in pregnancy and the second one ll assess you whether you are fit enough to get pregnant and further management...

as far my discussion with Gynae she told me to avoid any type of medcns for the first 3 months after u conceive. I think it'll be hard to bear the migraine pain but no option

thts why I m asking you to c ur medical specialist as he ll definitely recommend medicine wch are pregnancy friendly...u can then counter check their safety with your gynaecologist...this is how multi disciplinary approach works...
