My wife is pregnant and is coughing a lot, she is 5 months pregnant and i am not sure what kind of cough syrup she needs to have.

Plz check ,if she suffering in tonsillitis , gargle with salt water can help her , secondly during pregnancy mother has feeling of nausea, vomiting ,this condition increase acid reflux,and acidity is also cases cough, don't let her empty stomach for long time .

Cough syrups are not very effective. Hot drink and honey as long as she doesn't have fever and or sputum
