Talk to Gynecologist on New Marriage, Vaginal Pain During First Intercourse

i have been married in last 10 days. I am facing an issue. when me and my husband tried to have intercourse., I feel high pain in my vaginal area. in last 10 days since our marriage, I am unable to allow my husband to penetrate as I feel too much pain. till now I didn't allow him to penetrate completely. please advise is this normal or any care is required.
