Talk to Gynecologist on Ovarian Cyst / Pelvic Pain

I have had an ovarian cyst for the past 3 months. I took treatment for 3 months, and then a different course for 1 week, but I still have pain in my lower abdomen. My recent ultrasound mentioned fluid that appears like a cyst. The pain is persistent and sometimes sharp. Could this be a result of a ruptured cyst or something serious? Do I need a repeat ultrasound or any further treatment/surgery? Please advise.
