person-avatar

Asking For Someone else, Sister, Female, 23 Years old, islamabad

My friend has been taking ecp for a year, two tablets for one doze, approx twice a month. She didn’t get her period from november n spotted in January n no periods then. In May, she was told by doctor to diet, exercise n take duphaston to get your periods, she has started the medicine, but is very upset that what if she is pregnant, coz she is unmarried so very confused that which doctor she should go to safely.. she did her pregnancy tests in December n February, tht gave no results, what should she do now. I m very worried for her. She is getting in depression wd sucidal thoughts. Cn she be pregnant even after ecp? Or is it overdose of ecp?

She should be on a regular contraceptive method feather than taking too many ECP. It is hazardous taking so much. The name says emergency so only taken rarely not as a routine twice a month since 2 years. She is messing up her hormones. It is advised to visit gynaecologist in person.

It’s better to follow instructions of your doctor as she has evaluated her.
