Asking for Self, Female, 19 years old, Lahore
I am having prolonged periods for a while now i was just recently done with my periods a few days ago thats was about 14 days and now i got another one as per doctor recommendations i have used birth control medication a while ago but i don't want to use it over and over i want to know the cause of this please
I can help and guide you all
At 19 years of age, prolonged or frequent periods are most commonly caused by hormonal imbalance, but other causes such as PCOS, thyroid disorders, stress, weight changes, or anemia should also be ruled out. I recommend a pelvic ultrasound, CBC, thyroid function test (TSH),. and detailed history is required better to book an appointment through Marham
prolonged periods is not a disease it's a result of hormonal imbalance ,you don't need to take birth control medicine ,plz fix an appointment with detailed history feel free to discuss your problem will resolve within days , In Shaa Allah
Try to find out the cause with the help of a dr , weight height ? Any stress ? History of weight gain or weight loss ? Share test reports of CBC , prolactin, TSH n free T4, pelvic ultrasound .. dont take birth control pills unless a qualified fcps or MCPS gynaecologist prescribes
