Talk to Gynecologist on Post Ectopic Advice
Asking for Self, Female, 28 years old, Peshawar
Aoa. Need gynaecologist advice. I had rupture ectopic surgery last year (1st pregnancy). As my body has recovered i wanted to conceive again but im anxious because of previous trauma. My periods are regular and i never had any infection, i want to know what causes ectopic. I and my husband usually live in different stations due to work therefore i wanted to try again in my vacations but due to covid situations our vacations are scheduled early. Due to lockdown i cudnt visit gynaecologist either. In my last visit (3xmonths post laprotomy) she adviced iberet folic and High-c 1000 sachets, i want to knw 1) shall i continue it or not? 2) Is it safe to try again or shall i wait and do all tests? 3)Wt tests is necessary for me before planning family again? 4) does blood group of partners effect pregnancy my blood group is O+ and my husband is B+ Thank you.

ws. yes dear u can conceive now safely. now strt tab folic acid one tab daily. nd its less chances that ectipic occur again

Aoa sorry to hear about your ectopic u feel u r ready u can try for next pregnancy.u can continue with folic of ectopic is less .no need to do any test now
but once u r pregnant do early scan to see if everything is need

There are many causes for Ectopic pregnancy usually infection is the most important cause causing kinking or some blockage in the tube but some time it can happen without any obvious cause, the advise for you is that once you are pregnant ,you should have ultrasound in early weeks to confirm that pregnancy is located in right place, blood group do not play any role in Ectopic pregnancy but off course if you had Negative blood group your doctor would have given you an injection ,one important thing is Rubella screening before pregnancy as it is important to know weather you are Rubella immune or not , PreConception folic acid is mandatory when planning for pregnancy
