Hello, i had normal vaginal delivery on 8 august. I got episiotomy, now the issue is still after 20 days i feel stiches(threads) and lochia is very smelly. Kindly tell me how much time it will take for episiotomy stiches to reabsorb?
skin sutures absorp within 1-2 week ,however total healing time is 6 week for episiotomy.
Any pain in you tummy?Any fever?From what you are describing ,you might be brewing an infection.See your dr for review and antibiotics.
No fever or pain just sometimes needle like sensation in vagina and smelly lochia. However i can still feel threads at the episiotomy region and im 4 weeks postpartum
