Talk to Gynecologist on Postpartum Hypertension After First Delivery Causing PRES

"My baby is one year old now. Last year, after my first delivery (C-section), I started experiencing a severe headache just two days later. My vision also became blurred, and I lost consciousness for a day. The doctors told me that my blood pressure had suddenly shot up, which caused PRES (brain swelling).

During that pregnancy, my blood pressure was always low, and I also had gestational diabetes. The baby was born underweight.

Now, I am 5 weeks pregnant again, and I’m confused about what I should do. I consulted a doctor, and she said there’s a 50% chance the same thing (PRES) could happen again. However, she also mentioned that we can’t terminate the pregnancy at this point because it could create more complications.

Please, I need suggestions.
