Talk to Gynecologist on Preganacy With Holoprosecephaly
Asking For Wife, Female 35, Bannu
My wife pregnancy is in 20 th weeks and in ultrasound report doctor said that baby is having brain abnormalities called Holoprosencephaly and you need to make abortion but me and my wife are not agree to loose our baby. So kindly advise me that is it curable or recoverable? and what to do as it is the earlier stage. thanks respect and regards.
Kindly take 2nd opinion from another radiologist and ask about aother associated anomalies too..

here is no standard course of treatment for holoprosencephaly. Treatment is symptomatic and supportive. The prognosis for individuals with the disorder depends on the severity of the brain and facial deformities.
