Had thyroidectomy in 2018 and was given radio iodine in 2019 . I ha e conceived this month . what to know about pregnancy after thyroidectomy and radio iodine . what precautions should I take or which Dr will treat me further . endocrinologist or gynaecologist . if gynaecologist plz recommended best gynaecologist in karachi who treats patients with thyroid issues like me.
Are u taking thyroxin so in pregnancy u need to check your thyroid function after 4 to 6 weeks to adjust the dose and afterwards in each trimester. It’s better to consult gynaecologist and endocrinologist both.
Aoa u will follow the prescription of endocrinologist and continue your treatment. For pregnancy u have to see the gynaecologist. AkU is best place for combine clinic in Karachi. Otherwise u check with MARHAM. Thanks
You need to see both ....do your thyroid function tests and see if u need to adjust if ur on medications
