Assalam o Alaikum 
plz help doc...I m 22 weeks pregnant ,today was scan from aghakhan FMU  said its schogenic bowel marker is  down syndrome but risk r very  scan reports r in  mujhay iski sahi detail batain as my gyne doc is not in Pakistan so I m very worried...1.6 rate hai mujhay plz guide karain kay kiya chances hain aur kitna risk ho sakta hai

echogenic bowel is a single soft marker but for downs there are many other markers  maternal age is also important

Echogenicc  isolated is not that risky , and ur adjusted  risk against the age related risk is less , so don&acirc;&euro;&trade;t worry but if u want to  be sure , u can go for amniocentesis  to confirm but it&acirc;&euro;&trade;s costly , better to repeat ur USG from a different place after about 2 weeks
