Talk to Gynecologist on Pregnancy Relevant
Asking for Self, Female, 28 years old, Lahore
Asalam Alaikum.. I am pregnant 35 weeks. I need toknow that I've heard about an injection which is give in pregnancy for baby's lungs. My doc didn't advised me any, so I haven't any. Only tetnis injection was advised. Is this injection necessary? Or only given if needed?? Kindly reply. I want to mention, in a scan 2 weeks ago, i came tob know my baby's kidney isb bit swell. Is there any relevancy?? plz tell
Injection for lung maturity is only required in specified cases where premature delivery may be required. Not mandatory for all. Baby kidney swelling is not relevant to these injections.
Aoa injection for fetal lung maturity is given if there is risk of early delivery mean if baby lungs are not mature to survive outside mother womb. It is not advised for everyone. Tetanus vaccination is advised in pregnancy. If u have already then no need. Thanks

It is given if delivery is planned before 38 weeks. You should discuss with your gynaecologist as she knows when is your delivery planned.
