my sugar level is hba1c 5.8 -- and mostly blood sugar level is mostly 130 or 140, I am tested positive just today for pregnancy (4 week pregnant) what problems I may face because of high sugar level during pregnancy and what cares should I take? can I give birth to a healthy baby?

if blood sugar levels are controlled in pregnancy then you dont need to worry about yourself or baby but still there will be a slight risk of some complications which may arise anytime during pregnancy.
hyperglycemia in pregnancy is not a small matter to discuss about in few lines. you need proper counselling, management discussion and pregnancy care. pls book an appointment.

this is my 4th pregnancy. I never had high blood sugar in earlier pregnancies. this time worries me as hba1c is 5.8 (which I understand is slightly above the normal range) I quit eating extra sweet things and added 2 hours of walk in my routine.

My fasting is high: 114 - 120 most of the time, otherwise my sugar level is almost okay all day before and after meals.. urine test reports are okay. now doctor has advised to get glucose tolerance test.. hba1c is 5.8
