Asking for Sister, Female, 38 years old, karachi ,pakistan.

my sister is 38 and have two kids,she had irregular periods and after some test she was diagnosed with ovarian insufficiency/ failure and doctor prescribed her medicine ( progyluton ).she wants to know , how long can she take this medicine? is this illness is curable? what are the side effects of HRT( hormones replacement therapy.

As she has developed premature ovarian failure and she is young, she needs hormone replacement.
She may keep on taking progyluton but what I think that Oral Contraceptive Pills are a better option.
She may Continue to take OCPs for 2 years and then we might consider changing it.

The side effects of OCPs are headache, nausea, vomiting , bloating , weight gain etc
