These are my results. Should I be concerned? Why is my lining 10 mm thick and what causes bulbous appearance?
INDICATIONS: POSTMENOPAUSAL BLEEDING
TECHNIQUE: Pelvic ultrasound using transabdominal and endovaginal technique. Doppler/duplex assessment was performed to assess ovarian vascular flow.
FINDINGS: UTERUS: Measures 9.3 x 3.9 by 4.5 cm in size. Endometrial stripe thickness of 10 mm. The fundal endometrium has a bulbous appearance but no discrete mass is seen. Small uterine fibroids fibroid 1 is posterior fundal measuring 14 mm in size. Fibroid 2 is anterior fundal measuring 7 mm in size. ADNEXAE: Normal bilateral appearance with no significant masses. Each ovary is normal in size for a patient of this age. Vascular flow to the ovaries is normal. Left ovary measures 2.1 x 1.3 x 2.5 cm in size. Right ovary measures 1.6 x 1.4 x 1.4 cm in size. CUL-DE-SAC: Normal. No fluid or mass. OTHER: Negative.
