Asking for Mother, Female, 49 years old, Karachi

Dear doctors, my mother is experiencing severe pain during first and second day of periods,so much so that it's affecting her to move / work. She had 30 days cycle this time but her periods aren't coming properly it's v light in flow though it's her second day . Please advise . What to be given or done

-Dear very short description of query.
-as she is 49 years old so can have irregular periods as near menopause. Heavy periods need to be investigated.
-can have tab ponstan 500 mgs 8 hrly from day 2 to day 5 to reduce pain and bleeding.
-have transvaginal scan, cervical smear and local Examination by gynae specialist as well.
-follow with reports.
-have complete treatment of any health issue she has.
-have recreational activities and quit recreational drugs.
-have balanced diet, weight and Bmi. Daily walk, calcium with Vit D.
-best of luck.

She has been examined by gynae Dr. Both by cervical smear and TV's scan . She didn't have any underlying issue. All her reports are normal it's just she has started to have light bleeding even on day 3 and it's causing her labour like pain

for pain she can take a good painkiller voren or ponston forte but better to get her evaluation by the gynecologist so her examination and ultrasound can be done

Don’t worry about the light flow , it’s her peri menopausal phase as she approaching towards the end of her reproductive life , problems like heavy or light or early or delayed periods are common , she can paracetamol or other analgesic for pain
