Is there a lactation specialist here? Or anyone relevant? I am a breastfeeding mother of 8 months old. It's been two weeks since I've developed cuts on my nipples due to reasons unknown to me. The latch is not the problem since I've shown it to a doctor. I am applying bepanthen and polyfax ointment, my feed, and honey. Panadol for pain. The doctor also advised using a breast shield but my baby completely rejected it. The cuts only get better when I take a break from breastfeeding but as soon as I start again, they return. They are bleeding quite a lot and the pain is unimaginable. I need to ask 1. How do I get them to heal fast? 2. How long can I take a break from breastfeeding before my supply dries and I cannot continue feeding my baby in the future? I badly want to feed him for 2 years. 3. Why are these cuts happening? I have an elder son too and this didn't happen with him.

when your baby is sleepy apply your own breast milk at cuts believe me it will help you and when you are feeding your baby along with nipple insert whole black area around nipple in baby's mouth your cuts will heal soon inshAllah.
