Talk to Gynecologist on Steroid Shots

Im 36 wks pregame im advised dexamethasone injections im also diabetic n had a previous c section. Everything else is fine. I want to know are these steroids necessary at this stage n if necessary for elective c section then shouldn’t they be administered a week before surgery?

to administer dexa in diabetic patient , it should be with very much care ..as high blood sugars can effect baby badly
c.section in diabetic is planned in 37 or 38 so at 36 week its better to take dexa shot
in case of GDM ,,delivery should be planned at 38 weeks ,,,and steroid cover should be given in 4 divided doses with RBS monitoring
