Talk to Gynecologist on Stool In Pregnancy
Asking for Self, Female, 28 years old, Riyadh
I am 30 weeks pregnant taking iron medicine Ferose-F from 2 3 days and I pass black stool. It may be due to iron. I want to ask it will continue the same black stool or it is just for few days? If it continues, will it be normal? It's been 5 days I also have severe and continues sharp pain below my right breast area and middle area. Doctor said it is due to gastric and acidity problem.

Thanks this may be due to iron but it is better if you do stool test pain may be due to gall bladder either infection or stone so do us of gall bladder you can change iron preparation
black stool is due to iron. will be normal color after stopping it. consult nearby emergency hospital for continuing sharp pain. tc
